Can Mahomes Go 12-0 vs. the Broncos?

Week 6 TNF Trends + Player Specials for Broncos/Chiefs

Good evening RotoRadar Nation!

The RotoRadar team is 37-16 (70%) to start the 2023 NFL DFS season as we head into Week 6!

The Kansas City Chiefs (4-1) host AFC West division rival Denver Broncos (1-4) on Thursday Night Football, here are a few trends to get your day started:

5 Trends to Watch for Broncos @ Chiefs —

  • The Kansas City Chiefs have recorded 15-straight wins against the Denver Broncos, which is good for the third-longest streak of its kind of all-time. Patrick Mahomes has recorded 11 of those wins.

  • Denver’s defense is allowing the most points in the NFL this season (181), which is the second-most through five games in the Super Bowl era (2013 Giants gave up 182).

  • Denver’s defense is allowing the most fantasy points to opposing running backs (42.34 PER GAME), the second-most to opposing quarterbacks (21.55), and the sixth-most to tight ends (14.78).

  • Russell Wilson is 2-9 straight up in his last 11 road games, dead last in the NFL since the start of the 2022 season

  • The Thursday Night DFS slate basically revolves around the health of Chiefs star TE Travis Kelce. After suffering an ankle sprain on Sunday vs. Minnesota on the same leg that he suffered the bone bruise at the beginning of the season, I’m very concerned about his health status on a short week against a Broncos team that is a 10.5-point underdog. In the event that Kelce is healthy and good to go (which multiple sources have said he is), I think he is still viable for cash games, but I expect the Chiefs to lean heavily on the run for the first true time this season behind Isiah Pacheco. In the event Kelce misses or is limited, Noah Gray and Rashee Rice would be my favorite pass catchers and would be must plays on single game/showdown contests.
