San Francisco Giants -166 @ Colorado Rockies +140

Game Total: 10.5 | Starting Pitchers: Kyle Harrison (L) vs. Dakota Hudson (R)

Winds are insane here as they rip across the field left to right at 25 mph with gusts up to 30. Temps in the mid 50s, weird day for Coors as always. The Giants have the highest-implied run total on Tuesday’s card of 6 runs and will face Dakota Hudson, someone who we’ve respected in a lot of starts in 2024. Hudson’s xFIP is not great considering the low strikeout rate paired with how many runs he’s given up, but he’s a tricky pitcher to target specific hitters against. The main reason for this is the elite ground ball rate of 56% – so we’ll start with Giants bats that not only hit righties well, but have low ground ball rates in addition to that.  LaMonte Wade, Jung Hoo Lee, and Mike Yastrzemski profile the best in that order while Michael Conforto is a nice fourth bat to get here.

The Rockies have a quiet 4.8 run total but in my eyes come in as a team that can get to Kyle Harrison in some spots. The best righty bats on this team start with Elias Diaz (0.192 ISO / 0.428 wOBA). Brendan Rodgers and Sean Bouchard at the bottom of the lineup also profile decently well here. Brenton Doyle and Ezequiel Tovar don’t necessarily have power against lefties this year, but those results should start to show – they are nice platoon righties as well. Give me the Rockies to outscore the Diamondbacks and maybe even outscore the Braves.
